Good to know before you arrive

Our family-run guesthouse

We pride ourselves on giving our guests the best service possible. As a family-run guesthouse, that does mean:

• We do not have a 24/7 reception or check-in. We will do our very best to personally meet and check in all our guests.
• As owners, we will not be able to attend to all needs at all times.
• We ask our guests to respect our privacy and our staff equally.
• If something is broken or missing, please tell us. We will try to fix it or replace it for you, or if really necessary, charge you.
• We are open and welcoming to anyone. Please try to return the favour.
• A maximum of 2 people per room (excluding our Family Cottage), with no changing of persons during your stay.

Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is between 14:00 and 17:00.
• Check-out is by 11:00.
• A luggage drop-off is possible for guests arriving before 14:00. Please tell us in advance.

Late check-in

• Please tell us your late arrival time well in advance, and give us a direct contact number to reach you.
• Arrivals after 20:00 fall under our late check-in policy if not communicated in advance.
• Pricing is tiered according to the arrival time, as alternative arrangements need to be made. The minimum late arrival fee is R200.

Cancellation and early check-out

Cancellation charges are a percentage of the full accommodation cost.

• Within 30 days or less before arrival: 100% is charged.
• There are no refunds during your stay.
• We do not offer refunds on early check-outs.

Smoking

• Smoke detectors are located throughout our property.
• The inside of our building, including all rooms, is a strict no-smoking zone.
• Smoking is only allowed in designated outside areas.

Visitors and events

• Please consult us if you want to have visitors. We charge R250 per day visitor.
• No guests, parties or events without permission.
